Adele Announces North American Tour In Support Of Upcoming Album 21

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Adele is gearing up to tour North America in support of her sophomore album ‘21,’ available on February 22. The tour will kick off in Washington, DC on May 12 and run through June 20 in Nashville. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, February 11.

Adele's last U.S. show was in front of 19,000 fans at Los Angeles' historic Hollywood Bowl in June of 2009. Fans will get a sneak peek of Adele when she appears on news and talk shows starting with the Today Show on February 18th and finishing up with Chelsea Lately on 28th.

Recently released overseas, 21 soared to the #1 position on the charts in several countries including the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Holland, New Zealand, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium. In her native U.K. alone, ‘21’ sold an astounding 208,000 copies in its first week and is already certified Platinum. "Rolling In The Deep," the infectious lead single from ‘21, ‘has critics raving. Rolling Stone called the track "her best yet," while USA Today called it "Mesmerizing." The video for "Rolling In The Deep" was directed by Sam Brown (Jay-Z, Foo Fighters) and is currently the #1 video on VH1's Top 20 Countdown.
