Artists Against Racism will receive a Global Tolerance Award, along with Alanis Morrissette, November 16 in New York at the United Nations. AAR's award comes in recognition of its international campaigns which now include TV ads across the United States on USACable Network and radio ads on the Westwood One network, in response to the New York tragedy, says Lisa Cherniak, ARR founder.
The AAR TV PSAs are also airing on MTV UK in response to the race riots in England and Northern Ireland. More national campaigns, such as billboards and bus ads, plus PSAs on airlines, are in the works as more concerned sponsors are signed up.
