MELBOURNE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ticketmaster, Live Nation’s ticketing division has rolled out interactive seating maps for newly refurbished Metricon Stadium on Australia’s Gold Coast.
The 25,000 capacity stadium plays host to Australian Football League team, the Gold Coast Suns. Recent concerts at the venue include a 2011 appearance by the Foo Fighters.
The interactive seating map will be ready for the 2012 AFL season and will allow fans to select their preferred seat at the venue.
The Metricon marks the 35th of Ticketmaster’s clients to avail themselves of the interactive seating map service. According to Ticketmaster, the maps have helped to drive “significantly” higher ticket sales at venues where they have been employed.
