STOCKHOLM (CelebrityAccess) — Swedish EDM producer and DJ Avicii has announced that he's cancelling all of his upcoming scheduled commitments, including the rest of his tour and planned festival gigs, due to health issues.
Avicii, also known as Tim Bergling, had to cancel a headlining slot at the Ultra Music Festival after being rushed to the hospital with acute abdominal pains, resulting in doctors removing his appendix and gallbladder removed. He also suffered from an acute attack of pancreatitis while touring in Australia in 2013.
Affected dates include a headlining slot at the TomorrowWorld festival Georgia in late September, his planned tour of Asia, which was set to kick off on October 1st and dates from his Las Vegas residencies.
“At Night Management has tabled all touring and promotional activities for Avicii, aka Tim Bergling, until further notice so that he can fully recuperate from lingering health issues related to surgeries that removed his gall bladder and appendix earlier this year. The international superstar, who is the #1 Most Influential Artist Under 25 according to Spotify, is taking a break at home in Stockholm so he can regain his strength and physical well-being before the release of a new album project next year.” Avicii's management told Radio. – Staff Writers
