DENVER (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Legendary concert promoter Barry Fey has been announced as an inductee for the 2013 class of the Colorado Tourism Hall of Fame.
Fey will be inducted at a ceremony which will take place on March 6th with a gala dinner fêting the inductees. The dinner is a fundraising event that will benefit the Visit Denver Foundation, which provides college scholarships to Colorado students.
According to the Hall, Fey was selected for induction because he "helped turn live music into a brand pillar for Denver and Colorado tourism by making Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre one of the most famous music venues in the world. Fey also played an important role in helping to save the Denver Symphony and to create the new Colorado Symphony Orchestra."
