Benefit Concert Held For Colorado Farmers

PUEBLO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — In the wake of a December blizzard that devestated farmers and ranchers in Colorado, country music performer Michael Martin Murphey organized a benefit concert to provide some help for the snow-afflicted agrarians.

The concert event was presented by the Colorado Farm Bureau, in conjunction with the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association, Colorado Livestock Association and the Colorado Department of Agriculture – State Fair at the State Fair Grounds in Pueblo.

Performers at the event included Waddie Mitchell, comedian Baxter Black, Gary McMahan, Don Edwards, Fred Hargrove, Carin Mari & Pony Express, Sons & Brothers, Sarah Murphey and Mei-Ling Felten.

According to a relase by the American Farm Bureau Federation, the festival raised 680,000 dollars in cash, hay and other donations. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
