Chili Peppers Postpone Shows After Anthony Kiedis Hospitalized

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — The Red Hot Chili Peppers have abruptly postponed two shows after the band's frontman Anthony Kiedis was hospitalized on Saturday night.

A post on the band's website announced the postponements, stating that Kiedis had been hospitalized due to "complications from the intestinal flu" but noted that he is expected to make a full recovery.

At the time of publication, affected shows include May 14th at the KROQ Weenie Roast at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater and May 17th at the iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, CA. The band's next scheduled gig is at Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio on May 23rd.

As of yet, there's been no word on when the shows will be rescheduled.

The group also announced a spate of new dates for Europe, kicking off on September 1st and 2nd with a pair of shows at Papp László Sportaréna in Budapest, Hungry. – Staff Writers
