(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Former Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist Slash has told reporters that Axl Rose’s long-awaited album, “Chinese Democracy,” will finally see the light of day.
Rose recently told interviewers that his 10-year project was nearly complete, and now Slash confirmed that the album should be in stores by mid-March, according to NME.com.
“A very official source” has heard the complete project, according to the guitarist, despite not revealing the name.
“I’m really excited, it’s been a long time waiting to see what the next step around the corner was going to be for him (Axl), we know where everybody else is, but we were wondering was he was going to be doing,” Slash said.
“It’s coming out in March and apparently it sounds great.”
Although Axl and Slash have no spoken in the past 10 years, the Velvet Revolver guitarist said he was pleased that the record is finally going to be released.
“I’ve always been supportive over that thing, even though it’s been turned into a big controversial blah blah blah thing,” said Slash.
“in the first place. After a while all the boo-haha that was stirred and all the negative press, sort of went in his direction, so I'm just waiting for the record to come out, so I'm glad where it's got to the point that that's happening.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
