(CelebrityAccess News Service) – Sam Foxman, senior partner of entertainment marketing firm Contemporary Productions, has been named one of the “30 UNDER 30”, 30 young professionals in the St. Louis metropolitan area who will be the next generation of “movers and shakers”. The award is given annually to professionals under 30 years old who have shown innovation and success in their respective fields.
“We are proud that Sam has been selected for this honor… but not surprised,” states Contemporary Productions President Steve Schankman. “Sam has always been an innovative and creative leader at Contemporary,” adds Schankman.
Foxman joined Contemporary Group in 1995 as a booking agent for local bands. Within his first two years, he broke all sales records in his division and was promoted to head up Contemporary Group’s entertainment division, making him the youngest division head in the company. At age 22, Foxman increased the entertainment division’s net revenue by over 26 percent in his first year.
Contemporary Group was sold in 1998 to SFX Entertainment. Foxman quickly became involved in creating a new entertainment marketing division whose responsibility were to create non-traditional revenue streams within the radio and live entertainment realms. As part of SFX Media Marketing, Foxman was then appointed director of the special events division..
With the sale of SFX to Clear Channel Communications, Foxman left Clear Channel and launched Contemporary Productions, L.L.C. with his former boss and colleague, Steve Schankman. Together, they have established an international special events and entertainment marketing company with an exclusive client list.– edited by Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
