LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Coolio avoided jail time after pleading after pleading guilty to bringing a concealed firearm to Los Angeles International Airport last month.
The rapper, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey, was sentenced to three years of supervised probation and 45 days of community service after entering the plea during a court hearing on Wednesday, the Associated Press reported.
Coolio was arrested on Septembe 17th, after an airport screener found a firearm in his his bag.
He was previously convicted on gun charges in 2001 after he was discovered carrying a concealed handgun and in 2009, he was arrested on drug and battery charges after cocaine was discovered in his carry on bag while traveling through LAX. – Staff Writers
