David Ian Is Getting A Place Of His Own

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — David Ian, Live Nation's Chairman of Global Theater operations has moved out of the company's Grosvner Street offices in London the Stage News reported.

According to the Stage News, an email sent by Ian's office informed readers that he could no longer be contacted through that office and any future communications should instead, be sent to his new office.

Live Nation is currently in the process of divesting its domestic theater assets as it sharpens its focus on live music and Ian's move may be a signal that the theatrical division in the UK will be included in that.

Ian launched his own operation, David Ian Productions, in early 2006 and begun to produce theatrical events, including the recent revival of "Grease" separately from his work with LN. This, despite LN's statement at the time the intent to divest was announced that, "Our United Kingdom theatrical assets, as well as the New York Hilton and the Boston Opera House, will not be included in the divestiture process due to certain tax restrictions associated with our spin-off from Clear Channel Communications. We cannot predict when, or if, any transaction will occur with respect to these properties."

Such conjecture is premature however and Ian currently remains a chairman with Live Nation. His new offices are in Covent Garden and will serve as the new headquarters of David Ian Productions.- CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
