NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The troubadour Bob Dylan is teaming up with former Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler for a tour of North America set for Fall 2012.
The tour is set to kick off on October 5th at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg and run through til the end of November when it winds down with a Nov. 21st show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Dylan is touring behind the release of his most recent album "Tempest" which marks his 50th anniversary of the release of his first album, 1962's "Bob Dylan."
Dylan and Knopfler have collaborated in the past with Knopfler both producing and providing guitar work for Dylan's 1983 album "Infidels" and Knopfler covered Dylan's "Restless Farewell" for a compilation to benefit Amnesty International.
