(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Entertainment Technician Certification Program Council (ETCP) has graduated its first class of certified arena and theatre riggers. The 97 ETCP certified arena riggers and 111 ETCP certified theatre riggers took the rigorous, competency-based examinations in arena and/or theatre rigging in November 2005. There are also 45 individuals that hold dual certificates.
The ETCP rigging certifications are designed for extremely experienced riggers including supervisors and high steel riggers. The next rigging examinations will be held at computer centers across the US. beginning March 15.
