Exclusive: Jack Randall Named President Of Agency Division At Kurland

BOSTON (CelebrityAccess) — Veteran booking agent Jack Randall has been named as President of the Agency Division at The Kurland Agency.

Randall, who is stepping up from his current position as Vice President of A&R / Senior Agent, will direct domestic and international bookings as well as continuing to oversee the firm's A&R efforts.

Before his promotion, Randall handled the agency's Midwest, Pacific Northwest, West Coast, and Canada operations, as well as representing artists such as s Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Bettye LaVette, Bill Charlap, Afro-Cuban All Stars, Charles Lloyd among others.

"I am honored to be chosen by Ted Kurland for this new position," states Randall, who now boasts a 20-year tenure with The Kurland Agency. "We have a great team of agents and staff, and we plan to continue our unparalleled commitment to the genres of jazz, blues, Americana, and soul/R&B. In my opinion, TKA is the only agency that has this level of dedication to these genres, and my goal is to enhance and enrich our clients' careers. Our artists in these fields deserve nothing less."

Founded in 1975 by Ted Kurland, the Kurland Agency has become a respected boutique booking and management company that has carved out a unique niche in an industry that is increasingly dominated by the majors. The Kurland Agency is perhaps best known for their high profile jazz roster but has expanded their focus in recent years to a broader field of performing clients. The company's client roster includes legends such as Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, and Béla Fleck.

Agency founder and CEO Ted Kurland will continue to coordinate both the agency and management divisions, as well as providing strategic guidance for the company.

"Jack Randall has been a major part of TKA for the last two decades and the quarterback for the diversification of the agency's roster," says agency CEO Ted Kurland. "Jack's leadership with our agent team and his role as the resident expert of iconic contemporary music has spearheaded our effort to build our brand and reputation as the 'go-to' agency and home for virtuosic and eclectic artists. His new position as President of our booking division has been well earned and will be in the best interests of our company." -= Staff Writers
