Fan Arrested After Tour Bus Scuffle

ATHENS, GA (CelebrityAccess) — An Atlanta fan was arrested early Saturday morning after he attempted to board Third Eye Blind's tour bus and got into an altercation with the band's manager.

According to the Athens Herald-Banner, an apparently intoxicated 28-year-old man identified as Kevin Gerald Knoblich told police that he just wanted to thank the band after a show at the Georgia Theatre, but was asked to leave the bus by the band's manager Lucas McNees.

“He said that he was told to leave and was later slapped and punched for no reason by the band's tour manager,” the Athens-Clarke County police report on the encounter said.

However, according to the Herald-Banner, Lucas McNees told police that after Knoblich was told to leave the bus, he stood outside, yelling and cursing and that he refused to leave the area when instructed to do so by venue staff. According to Lucas, the physical confrontation only occured after Knoblich came too close to Lucas.

“He got too close to Lucas and shoving started,” the police report said. “This turned into slaps and punches.”

Knoblich was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. – Staff Writers
