Fatal Shooting Reported Near Bronx Music Festival

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — A man was killed and a woman was wounded after gunfire erupted near a music festival at the Bronx Expo center on Sunday.

According to CW affiliate WPIX, rescue workers found a 34-year-old man unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds Sunday night as well as a 34-year-old woman with at least one gunshot wound in her leg.

The two were found near the Moksha Festival of Fun, a music festival featuring African and Soca music. Police told WPIX that the two victims were in a BMW when a shooter approached the vehicle and fired multiple gunshots at them.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital where the male was pronounced deceased. The woman is in stable condition and is expected to recover, WPIX said.

Police reported that the suspected assailant escaped in a white sedan, but no arrests have been made.
