MIAMI (CelebrityAccess) — The general manager of the Fillmore Miami Beach was the victim of a hit and run driver that left him seriously injured.
According to the Miami New Times, Brandon Berry was on his way home after the Phil Collins-hosted gala at The Fillmore, when his car was struck by what has been described as a black SUV. Berry lost control of his vehicle and it was forced into the center divider.
Berry suffered numerous injuries, including 18 broken ribs, two fractured collarbones, broken arms, and a fractured spine. He also sustained lung damage and is currently on a respirator to assist with breathing.
A veteran facilities manager, Berry was formerly GM of the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach before helping to turn the venerable Jackie Gleason Theater into the rebranded Fillmore.
