HELSINKI, Finland (VIP) — Fullsteam Records Oy has completed the acquisition of Klubi, who owns and operates the two leading live music venues, also called Klubi, in Tampere and Turku, the second and third biggest cities in Finland.
Fullsteam Records Oy is an independent music company behind the concert promoter and booking agency Fullsteam Agency, record labels Fullsteam Records and 1000 Records, and the rehearsal room center Indie Center.
Fullsteam is also a partner in the distribution company Supersounds Music and has it´s own merchandising, publishing and management businesses.
Klubi in Turku consists of 3 different-sized rooms with a total capacity of 1000 people, and in Tampere the company operates Tullikamari, the combination of 450-capacity Klubi and 1200-capacity Pakkahuone that together form a live venue of 1500 people.
During it´s 20 years history the venue has hosted concerts by Ramones, David Byrne, Type O Negative, Kent, Black Sabbath and is also home for various film festivals, theatre productions and seminars.
The promoter Tero Viikari who has been responsible for the program of Klubi since 2001 and one of the main alternative promoters in Finland since late 80´s, will continue running the venues.
The acquisition strengthens Fullsteam`s position as the main independent concert promoter for alternative music in Finland, and is part of the company´s overall music strategy.
