LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Industry vet Jody Gerson has been named to the position of co-president at Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Variety has reported.
Gerson's portfolio will include A&R, film and television, operations and marketing. Danny Strick, who has recently extended his contract, will continue to run the Latin and East Coast operations as well as overseeing the publisher's label, Hickory Rex.
Gerson has spent 17 years running the west coast shop for EMI Music Publishing and during her tenure, signed Alicia Keys and Enrique Iglesias among numerous others. She's also taken a turn in the movie biz, serving as a co-producer on the films "Drumline" and "ATL." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
