Gormley, Pellant Settle Into Yes, Dear Entertainment

ENCINO, CA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — When veteran personal manager Mike Gormley was profiled in Celebrity Access/Encore back in November 2006, he and new partner Jolene Pellant, former vice president/marketing for Live Nation, were just launching their new venture, Yes, Dear Entertainment, a management, marketing and music publishing company.

Since that time its management division has added Australia’s Michael McMartin (The Hoodoo Gurus) for North American representation, joining previously announced clients singer/songwriter Quincy Coleman and Greenlandik/Danish singer/songwriter Simon Lynge.

On the marketing side Yes, Dear represents Mediabase, the largest radio airplay monitor in North America, and Orsino Publicity, whose music program is heard in 85 art house movie theatres around the country, including the Laemmle Theaters, Angelika and City Cinemas.

Over the years Gormley has managed The Bangles, Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman, Concrete Blonde, Angelique Kidjo, Lowen & Navarro and many others through his LA Personal Development management firm. He had been vice president and assistant to the chairman of A&M records prior to forming LAPD. Pellant, who comes from the world of video editing and video, was director of Marketing and Promotions at Live Nation/Clear Channel/SFX/Avalon Attractions. In 2004 she was promoted to vice president of National marketing, overseeing national marketing and working on tour marketing for such artists as, Aerosmith, Fiona Apple, Journey, Def Leppard, Damien Rice, Chicago, Stevie Nicks and many others.

“After a long time working with and for some of the most legendary and wonderful people in the music business, I felt it was time to spread my wings,” says Pellant. “Working with Mike is a pleasure, he is forward thinking and passionate about the music. We have a dynamic list of clients that will continue to grow.”

“The challenges in this industry today calls for people being smart, diversified, well connected and in love with music,” says Gormley. “This describes Jolene and, in fact, it describes Yes, Dear. And I can’t wait for the receptionist to take the incoming calls.”
