Ground Broken At Missouri State's JQH Arena

ST. LOUIS, MO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Construction has officially begun on Missouri State University's $67 million JQH Arena after a groundbreaking ceremony on December 21st.

Plans for the new arena were announced in February, following a gift commitment of $30 million by world-renowned hotel developer John Q. Hammons.

The arena plan was cut back last fall, from 12,000 originally to 11,000, 1 concourse instead of 2, and locker rooms for only the visiting team during basketball games.

The horseshoe-shaped stands will leave room for developers to add on up to 1,500 seats in the future. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
