SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess) — Premium television company HBO revealed that Apple will be the exclusive provider for HBO's standalone subscription service.
HBO CEO Richard Plepler appeared at an Apple event in San Francisco, where he said that Apple users could subscribe to HBO's original content "past, present and future," for $14.99 a month, starting in April.
Previously, subscribing to HBO required cable television service, as did HBO's video streaming service HBOGo.
Apple also announced that they were cutting the price of the Apple TV device from $99 to $69. – Staff Writers
