HOB Concerts Promotes Swift To VP Of Business Development

SAN DIEGO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — David Swift, former VP of the San Diego Region and GM of the Coors Amphitheatre, has been promoted by House of Blues Entertainment to Vice President of Business Development for HOB Concerts, Inc. While he will continue to oversee operations in the San Diego region as well, industry veteran Michael Enoch has been appointed as the new GM of the Coors Amphitheatre.

In his new capacity, Swift will report directly to HOB Entertainment, Inc. COO Dolf Berle, and oversee casino accounts, rentals and other business opportunities on a nationwide basis.

Berle praised Swift’s contribution to the revenue growth enjoyed by HOB in the San Diego market: “We are very pleased that David Swift has accepted the role of Vice President of Business Development for HOB Concerts. David has shown great passion and creativity in building revenues while in San Diego and I am confident this expertise will enhance our businesses nationwide. David is a results-oriented executive with a broad range of sales, marketing and operational skills."

Swift was named Vice President of the San Diego region in 1999, just one year after joining the professional ranks of Universal Concerts as marketing director during the opening year of Coors Amphitheatre (HOB acquired Universal Concerts in 1999). For more than ten years, from 1987 to 1998, Swift worked for Avalon Attractions, overseeing ticketing, marketing, building deal negotiations and show settlements in the San Diego area. Career highlights during his tenure with Avalon included stadium dates with stellar artists such as U2, Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd, management of multiple-year rock and country festivals in Dallas and Atlanta, key involvement with managing sites at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and a stint as tour accountant for a Pepsi-sponsored tour. After graduating from New Mexico State University in 1985, Swift began his industry career with Feyline Concerts in Denver as a production manager at Red Rocks, McNicols Arena and Rainbow Music Hall. The New Mexico native will remain based in San Diego.

Enoch, who hails originally from West Virginia, brings more than 26 years of experience in all facets of facility management, booking, marketing, event promotion and technical production to his new post at HOB Concerts and Coors Amphitheatre. Enoch will report directly to Steve Macfadyen, HOB Concerts Vice President.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Michael’s experience as a trained venue professional to take the helm of this world class facility,” commented Macfadyen. “He will further enhance an already fabulous staff at Coors.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
