HOUSTON, TX (CelebrityAccess) — Donaciano R. "Don" Gomez, a longtime promoter, booker and talent manager n the Houston region died in hospice care at the age of 91 after a brief illness.
At various points in his career, Gomez ran a talent agency and was the owner/operator of Rockefeller's nightclub from 1980 to 1994.
More recently, he booked talent for a variety of venues, including Sam Houston Race Park, Mo's Place in Katy, the Texas Crawfish Festival, and Mardi Gras in Galveston with his company, Big Productions, according to an obituary published by the Houston Chronicle.
In 2008, Gomez was inducted into the Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame.
A native of Galveston, Texas, Gomez never married and never had children, the Chronicle said.
