DONINGTON, UK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The highly-popular Download Festival is set to return to Donington on June 11th-13th and festival organizers have announced the initial lineup with AC/DC filling the headliner slot.
Other confirmed acts at the 2010 installment of the fest include: Deftones, with Stone Temple Pilots, Bullet For My Valentine, Megadeth, Motörhead, Wolfmother and Volbeat with many more (last year's Download featured 120 bands) to be announced.
Tickets to the 3-day camper go on presale for all Download subscribers at 9am Thursday on January 28th and on generally on Friday, January 29th.
The event, produced by Live Nation, first saw the light of day in 2003 after being put together as a followup to the Monsters of Rock festival which had taken place previously at the Donington sight.
