John Caparella Named EVP Of Venue Management At MSG


NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — The Madison Square Garden Company has named John Caparella as executive vice president of venue management, effective October 26, 2015. Mr. Caparella joins the Company from The Venetian, The Palazzo and The Sands Expo and Convention Center, where he served as president and chief operating officer.

In his new role, Mr. Caparella will direct all operations for venue portfolio, including the company's flagship Madison Square Garden, The Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and Beacon Theatre; the Forum in Inglewood, California; and The Chicago Theatre, as well as overseeing operations and financial matters for MSG's facilities.

A veteran venue manager, Mr. Caparella spent the past 4 years at The Venetian, The Palazzo and The Sands Expo and Convention Center, where he most recently served as president and chief operating officer. Before that, he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Gaylord Hotels, which includes The Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, General Jackson Showboat, and the Wild Horse Saloon in downtown Nashville. He also served as a senior executive at Planet Hollywood and as president of planethollywood.com.
