LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell appears to be doing better, with a post on her website reporting that she seems to be improving.
"Joni remains under observation in the hospital and is resting comfortably," it says on the site. "We are encouraged by her progress and she continues to improve and get stronger each day. We've created a simple web page to aggregate Facebook and Twitter messages so that Joni can see all the well wishes people are sending her way."
The 71-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was hospitalized last Tuesday after being found unconscious at her Los Angeles home. A subsequent post on Mitchell's website reported that she had been placed in intensive care and was undergoing tests, however the exact nature of her illness has not been announced.
Mitchell, has a long history of health problems, including polio and scarlet fever as a child. She also told Rolling Stone that she is afflicted with Morgellons Syndrome, which is described as a sensation of skin crawling or biting, however, it is not a currently medically recognized disease. — Staff Writers
