BANGKOK, Thailand (CelebrityAccess) — Warner Music has named marketing and social media exec Karl Kongkham to the post of Managing Director of Warner Music Thailand.
He will assume his new duties for Warner as of November 1st and will report to Calvin Wong, Warner Recorded Music’s President, South East Asia, Hong Kong and Korea.
Kongkham joins the Warner organization from the Leo Burnett Group, an agency that specialises in advertising, digital and social media, sales promotion, direct marketing and event management. He served as a business director of the company’s ARC Worldwide and MSLGROUP subsidiaries.
Previous gigs for Kongkham also include a stint at advertising agency J Walter Thompson in 2002 as an account executive.
“I’m so pleased to have been invited to take up this role at Warner Music Thailand. I’ll be combining my lifelong passion for music with my experience in running digital and social media campaigns. I will ensure that we continue to invest heavily in local artists, as well as bringing our global stars to Thailand,” Kongkham said of his new role.
