The 1,800-seat Shubert Theatre is ending its 30-year in L.A. The theater, along with the ABC Entertainment Center, will be razed to make room for a 15-story office building.
As one of L.A.'s premier theaters, the Shubert was home to many of the longest running theatricals in the city. The Shubert's lease expires in 2002; the company must be out of the building by Sept. 30, 2002. The Shubert Organization has operated the theater since 1972.
