LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Industry vet Stuart Sobol died on July 10 from complications arising from a struggle with pneumonia. He was 50.
Sobol was best known for heading up the successful management shop Spivak-Sobol Entertainment before the company merged with Jeff Kwatinetz's Firm in 2004. While at The Firm, Stuart counted among his clients Eve 6, Three Days Grace, The Counting and Seether among others. Prior to joining forces with Arthur Spivak in 1996, Sobol worked for several record labels, focusing on promotion and A&R.
In addition to his management efforts, Sobol served on the City of Calabasas Traffic And Transportation Commission.
Stuart Sobol came from Cleveland, OH to LA with his wife Julie Shy in his early 20's. He is survived by his wife Julie, son Adin Shy-Sobol, 15, and daughter Emma Shy-Sobol, 13, who will remain in Calabasas, CA where the family has lived for many years. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
