New Depeche Mode Album In The Works

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Alternative electro-rockers Depeche Mode has announced that it has begun work on a new album. This will be the band’s first album in over four years.

The band is currently in a Santa Barbara, California, studio, working on the follow-up to 2001’s “Exciter”. This will follow the success of last year’s compilation “Remixes 81-04”, which put their classic hit “Enjoy the Silence” back on the charts after being remixed by Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda.

The group is working with Ben Hillier, who recently worked on Elbow’s “Cast Of Thousands” and the Doves’ “Some Cities”.

Frontman Dave Gahan told NME, “It’s a great feeling to be back together in the studio again and we are very excited about the new material. We are all feeling incredibly positive about the album. Ben Hillier has brought a whole new dynamic to the group which is quite inspiring.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
