Once again Napster is on its way to defend itself in the courtroom. This time the occasion is a struggle between the webcompany and the firm MediaWays, which is producing hearing books and is recording old radio programmes.
MediaWays want Napster to remove a number of titles belonging to the company from the website. The Media Way-chief, Michael Herrick, is taking it for granted that the case will end in favour of the firm, because several earlier cases have been lost by Napster.
According to the German Musikwoche.de, Michael Herrick demands that Napster immediately start taking action in solving the problem about illegal music exchange on the internet.
"We are of the opinion that Napster at length have to do something by themselves to stop pirating, instead of waiting until firms like MediaWays forces them to do something," said Michael Herrick.
