LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Work progresses on the currently under construction Nokia Theatre being built in downtown Los Angeles. According to a recent report by AEG Live, the structural steel is in place and they are still on track for the ambitious opening date of October 2007.
The state-of-the-art 7,100 seat theatre will be on of the lynch pins of AEG's Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment District project which aspires to bring the atmosphere of Tokyo's Ginza district or NYC's Times Square. The complex will also feature a massive (40,000 square foot) outdoor plaza, restaurants, hotels, a 5 star convention center, shopping, a nightclub and a Regal Theater cinema multiplex.
