LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — UK boy band One Direction might be preparing to take their final bow as rumors are indicating that they might be parting ways in March, 2016.
According to British newspaper The Sun, the four remaining 1Ders – Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan – are looking to broaden their horizons with solo projects.
“The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boy band. They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100% behind the decision. It is definitely not a split and they fully intend to get back together at some time in the future,” an unnamed source told The Sun.
The rumor, if true, means that 1D will not be touring in support of their fifth album and their last scheduled show would be on October 31st at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena.
The source said that the decision not to tour was agreed to at a meeting in London last weekend. Zayn Malik, the former fifth member of the group, decamped in March mid-tour. Malik has since recorded a new single and announced in July that he signed with RCA Records. – Staff Writers
