LOUISVILLE, KY (CelebrityAccess) — The Louisville Metro Police Department are investigating a shooting incident at a concert at the Tim Faulkner Gallery that left one woman dead and five others injured.
According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, off-duty Louisville Metro police officers responded to the sound of gunfire at the gallery at approximately 1:20 AM and found Savannah Jeanne Walker 20-year-old University of Louisville student dead of apparent gunshot wounds. Five other victims were wounded in the attack were transported to an area hospital but are expected to survive.
The off-duty police officer was working security for the concert by New York-based rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, the Courier-Journal reported. Police estimate that several hundred people were at the concert.
The Tim Faulkner Gallery is one of the best-known art galleries in the city and includes a 10,000 square foot performance space. Asked about security, Chris Meinhart, the lawyer for Tim Faulkner Gallery, declined to comment to the Courier-Journal on Sunday.
No arrests have been made, according to police.
