Pemberton Music Festival Supports Local Programs


PEMBERTON, BC (CelebrityAccess) — The Pemberton Music Festival Community Fund Committee and Huka Entertainment, founders and producers of the Pemberton Music Festival, announced that they will distribute more than $100,000 (Canadian) in grants to local arts organizations. The grants were made possible via a portion of proceeds from each ticket sold from the last two Pemberton Music Festivals.

"Over the past few years, the Village of Pemberton has been very supportive and welcoming of the Pemberton Music Festival," said A.J. Niland, Founder and Chairman of Huka Entertainment. "We are excited to be able to reciprocate that support and show our appreciation to this great community."

The recipients of the 2015 Pemberton Music Festival Community Fund (PMFCF) awards are:


Growing Great Children ("Music Together"); Interact Club ("Model UN Conference"); Lower Stl'atl'imx Tribal Council ("Transportation Support"); Pemberton Arts & Culture Council ("Public Awareness Campaign"); Pemberton BMX Society ("Lock-up and Safety Fencing"); Pemberton Childcare Society ("Playground Resurfacing"); Pemberton Farmers' Market Association ("Nutritional Coupon Program"); Pemberton Gymnastics ("Gymnastics Equipment"); Pemberton Secondary School ("Garden Program"); Pemberton Valley Seniors Society ("Bowling for Life and Art"); Royal Canadian Legion Branch #201 ("Building Renovations"); Sea to Sky Clean Air Society ("Burn Smart Workshops"); Signal Hill Elementary School ("Kitchen Connections" and "Breakfast and Lunch Program"); Signal Hill Elementary Parent Advisory Committee ("iGirl and iGuy Workshops"); Spirit of BC Community Committee ("Winterfest Kid Zone"); Stewardship Pemberton ("Watershed Model"); and Village of Pemberton ("One Mile Lake Park Improvements").
