Renshaw Departs The Firm

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Simon Renshaw, manager of acts such as the Dixie Chicks, Clay Aiken and Anastacia, has resigned from The Firm with intentions to start his own company, Strategic Artist Management, according to The Firm.

Renshaw’s contract with the company was set to expire in March of 2006, and was unlikely to be renewed.

In a statement, the Firm said: “The Firm and Simon Renshaw have decided to amicably part ways after a mutually successful and rewarding four-year run. We wish him well, and look forward to fighting the good fight together again in some capacity in the future.”

In an email sent to colleages this past weekend, Renshaw wrote: “After four wonderful years with The Firm, I have decided that it is time to move on and set up my own company again.”

Renshaw’s new company, Strategic Artist Management, will be opening in Los Angeles at the end of next week. He will continue to work with artists Anastacia, Clay Aiken, the Dixie Chicks, and Miranda Lambert.

Renshaw is also expected to bring along some former staffers from The Firm, some of whom reportedly became free agents in the business after a recent string of layoffs at the company. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
