Seattle Renews With AEG Facilities At Key Arena

SEATTLE (CelebrityAccess) — KeyArena at Seattle Center has renewed its venue services agreement with AEG Facilities. As a part of the deal, AEG Facilities will continue to handle management of premium seating, sponsorship, programming and marketing.

The City of Seattle, which owns and operates the arena at Seattle Center, first entered into partnership with AEG Facilities in late 2008. Under AEG's tenure, KeyArena boasted one of the most financially successful years in the building’s history.

This past March, after an absence of more than a decade, KeyArena hosted the 2015 NCAA® Division I Men’s Basketball Championship 2nd/3rd Rounds. The arena has also welcomed music’s biggest stars including: Ariana Grande, Eric Church, Neil Diamond, Bette Midler, among others. More recently Shania Twain kicked off her Rock This Country Tour at KeyArena, her first North American tour in over a decade, and Canadian superstars RUSH performed on their R40 Live 40th Anniversary Tour.

In August, KeyArena also welcomes back The International DOTA2 Championship, an online video gaming tournament that claims the world’s largest e-sport prize pool.

“Seattle is one of the world’s most vibrant sport and entertainment markets and KeyArena is one of the leading venues in the world,” said Bob Newman, President, AEG Facilities. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with the City of Seattle and the Seattle Center and to providing the Seattle region community and unparalleled diversity of high profile events and guest services.” – Staff Writers
