SMG Tapped To Manage New U of Pittsburgh Events Center

SMG has been selected to manage the University of Pittsburgh's new 12,500-seat Petersen Events Center. Financial terms of the five-year deal were not disclosed.

SMG's Hank Abate told the Pittsburgh Gazette, they plan to do about eight or nine concerts a year, noting the venue's priority will be athletic and academic needs.

SMG already handles events in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center and Mellon Arena.
