Stony Plain, Ecko, Fearless, BCD Music Join DRA

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —

Digital Rights Agency, a leading worldwide digital music distributor, has signed distribution agreements with Stony Plain Records, Ecko Records, Fearless Records and BCD Music Group. The deals add key titles by top blues, rock, punk and hip-hop stars including Ronnie Earl, Elvin Bishop, Duke Robillard, Maria Muldaur, Muddy Waters, Roy Rodgers, Jay Geils, Rufus Thomas, Denis Lasalle, At The Drive-In, Plain White Ts, Lil Jon, Lil Flip and Snoop Dog & Friends.

"We are tremendously excited to welcome this diverse group of top-notch labels to the DRA family," said Digital Rights Agency Managing Director Tuhin Roy. "We continue to focus on providing the top indies in the world the best set of services in the digital distribution business while also broadening our deep catalog."

DRA's offering now exceeds 120,000 tracks. Together with other recent signings, the deals announced bring DRA's client base to more than 225 labels.

"Month after month digital distribution revenue is gaining on our CD sales," said Fearless Records' head of sales Todd McCarty. "We feel that DRA has positioned independent labels to lead the way in this new market."

"Stony Plain is internationally acclaimed as the independent record label for Roots and Blues music," said Stony Plain's VP of Finance Alvin Jahn. "We are pleased to be part of the DRA family and look forward to having our music available digitally around the world."

"BCD works with new, up and coming urban artists," said Harald Blakeslee, CEO of BCD Music Group. "DRA allows us to bring artists like OG Ron C, Chamillionaire and Lil Flip, who are tremendously hot in the South, to the national scene, which of course helps to expand the artist's fan base."

"Ecko is extremely pleased to be aligned with DRA for online digital distribution," said John Ward, Ecko Records' president. "This will allow Ecko to extend above and beyond the boundaries we've been working in for the past 10 years." –Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
