Sue McLean Tribute Concert In The Works

MINNEAPOLIS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Planning is underway for a benefit concert in the memory of veteran Twin Cities promoter Sue McLean, who died of cancer in May the age of 63.

The tribute concert, planned for Nov. 23 at First Avenue, will feature New York singer-songwriter Eric Hutchinson with additional artists TBA. McLean was instrumental in the career development of Hutchinson, as well as a number of other influential artists, including The Avett Brothers and Lyle Lovett.

McLean was active in the Twin Cities music scene for more than 3 decades, booking both local acts such as Suicide Commandos and Curtiss A as well as international artists such as Elvis Costello and the Talking Heads.

The concert will serve as a fundraiser for McLean's 12-year-old daughter’s trust fund. – Staff Writers
