BRYAN, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A noted Texas music promoter Willie Bennett, died on Aug. 21st after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 62.
Bennett was an active part of the live music scene in the Brazos Valley, where he helped to promote the Starlight Music Series, the Texas Reds Festival, and co-founded the Northgate Music Festival said local news outlet KBTX.
Ironically, on the day he died, more than 100 of Bennett's friends had gathered for a party to celebrate his life. Bennett passed just an hour after the party had started.
Funeral arrangements are still being made, but will likely take place on August 25th at the Trevino Funeral Home with a gathering afterward at Kyle House. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
