VANCOUVER (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ticketmaster Canada and a number of its affiliates has agreed to settle on a number of proposed class action suits in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and Alberta over tickets sold through their TicketsNow secondary ticket market website.
Terms of the settlement include changes in ticket resale practices and an automatic refund of $36 dollars to people who purchased qualifying tickets through TicketsNow.com.
The proposed settlement must be approved by courts in a number of provinces, including Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and Alberta, with the first of such approvals slated for June 29th in Ontario.
As per usual in such settlements, Ticketmaster does not acknowledge liability or wrongdoing in relation to the claims.
