Ticketmaster Takes Over From Franchisers

WASHINGTON D.C. (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ticketmaster has announced that they've assumed operations of the Ticketmaster DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia franchise owned by Monumental Sports & Entertainment.

As of January 27th, franchise clients will transition to Ticketmaster. If everything goes according to plan, clients should expect no service interruptions from the switch.

"This closes a chapter for us with our U.S. franchises, and we are excited to move forward and directly deliver Ticketmaster's latest ticketing technology and solutions to clients in the greater DC area. Clients and fans will have uninterrupted service and a seamless transition to the Ticketmaster platform, along with our world-class distribution, client support, and customer service," said Nathan Hubbard, Ticketmaster’s CEO. “We would like to thank the Ticketmaster DC team for being such exceptional stewards of the Ticketmaster brand in the greater DC area for the last two decades."

Ticketmaster also noted that they plan to continue to expand upon their availability at major physical retail outlets. Ticketmaster already has a deal with Simon Property Group, a major North American mall operator to provide ticketing services at mall customer service kiosks. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
