(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Clear Channel Entertainment, owners of Toronto’s New Yorker Theatre, has inked a deal with Panasonic Canada Inc. for new naming rights to the venue.
Renamed the Panasonic Theatre, the venue is undergoing a large renovation funded by CCE. The rumored $3.2 million over 10 years from Panasonic will go towards upkeep of the theater. The new lobby alone will be outfitted with $250,000 worth of Panasonic’s state-of-the-art A/V and display equipment, including the brand new 65” High Definition Plasma television.
The theater’s reopening, scheduled for this coming June, will feature a performance by the Blue Man Group. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
