VACAVILLE, CA (CelebrityAccess) — Two employees of the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre (VPAT) have been charged with possession of child pornography, for allegedly possessing videos of young girls dressing and undressing at the venue.
According to the Daily Republic, police allegedly uncovered dozens of videos showing girls in various states of dress at the Dixon Dance Studio, The videos were alleged to have been secretly recorded with a cellphone during rentals of the venue in June 2013. More than 40 similar videos of young girls at the theater recorded as far back as May 2012 were discovered, the Daily Republic said.
The two men arrested in connection with the videos were Donald K. Wade Jr., 36, who worked as a part-time technician, and full-time Technical Director Thomas McPike, 35. Wade was fired on June 8th and McPike was placed on administrative leave but subsequently fired, according to the Vacaville Reporter.
The videos came to light during the investigation of an alleged child pornographer who was unconnected with the theater, the Daily Republic said.
"We find the alleged actions of these former employees reprehensible," Judy Barkett, Vice President of venue management company Venue Tech told the Daily Republic. Barkett added that the theater was fully cooperating with the investigation. – Staff Writers
