BRIDGEPORT, CT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Jane's Addiction, moe. and FURTHER, featuring Phil Lesh & Bob Weir are just a few of the artists scheduled to perform at 16th Annual Gathering of the Vibes festival, which is set for July 21-24 in Bridgeport, Conn.
Other artists announced in the first round of lineup announcements include: The Levon Helm Band, John Butler Trio, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Dr. John and the Lower 911, Taj Mahal Trio, The Rhythm Devils with Keller Williams, Steve Kimock and Reed Mathis, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Toots & The Maytals, Dark Star Orchestra, Ryan Montbleau Band, David Gans, Assembly of Dust, The McLovins, King for a Day and Bridgeport’s own Deep Banana Blackout. The New Mastersounds, Big Gigantic, and others have also been announced as headliners for the Late Night Stage.
The second round of lineup announcements is expected within the next two weeks and the festival is continuing their tradition of making space for new and up-and-coming artists by accepting submissions through the Vibes website and Sonicbids.
This year's Vibes will also continue the tradition of fostering a family-friendly atmosphere and will feature an area designated for family camping as well as the return of the popular 'Kids Korner'. This year, Vibes will also be adding a Teen Vibes stage that will include hands-on workshops for both musical and production as well as jam sessions with some of the artists performing at the festival.
