XM Satellite Radio started operations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area September 12, and will expand into the entire Southwest in October and go national in November.
It is the first-ever-national commercial satellite radio service (check out www.xmsatelliteradio.com), which provides 100 channels of revolutionary programming, coast-to-coast coverage and digital quality sound.
XM's lineup features 71 music channels, more than 30 commercial free, and 29 news, talk, sports and entertainment channels at a fee of $9.99 per month.
B.B. King, David Bowie and Snoop Dog are featured in the national advertising campaign.
