The 4th Annual Yahoo! Internet Life Magazine Online Music Awards (OMA's), which were scheduled to take place September 20 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, have been postponed until further notice.
"We, along with the show sponsors and performers, feel that going forward with the event is inappropriate at this time in light of last week's tragedy," states Andrew Kramer, executive producer of the magazine's awards show.
The event, being presented by WindowsMedia.com, was to have included performances by Pete Townshend, Aerosmith, Widespread Panic, American Hi-Fi, and Ludacris. The awards show was sponsored by MusicPlayground, Inc., Dodge, Starpolish, The New York Times, Billboard, Max Racks, US Airways and Fiji Water.
