LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Arthur Mogull, a 50 year music industry veteran, passed away on November 25 at age 77. According to Reuters, Mogull died of heart failure in his Beverly Hills home.
During his career Mogull worked with Deep Purple, the Electric Light Orchestra, Kenny Rogers, Peter, Paul & Mary, Hootie and the Blowfish, John Denver and Olivia Newton-John. He was an executive at three major labels (Warner Brothers, Capitol and MCA), ran United Artists Records before buying the company and in the last decade formed two indie record labels, JRS Records and Insane Records. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
